Now Available in CBD/CBG/CBN Combinations
There’s a lot of discussion around the topic of cannabinoids and their ability to promote better quality and quantity of sleep for adults that have symptoms of insomnia or that report poor sleep quality. You may see ads for gummies featuring a combination of cannabinoids and supplements in varying amounts that suggest effective benefits by their “proprietary” combination. On a deeper look, it is common to see that the individual supplements themselves offer promotion of a better night sleep, often in a limited capacity. Frequently the amount of cannabinoids is insignificant in those combinations, read on to learn more about why.
Effective Level of CBN
While studies are somewhat limited, there are a few studies that specifically examine the effectiveness of CBN on sleep that are considered both peer reviewed and of high quality. In those, the evidence is overwhelming that until you reach a level at or near 15mg of CBN that it is not more effective than a placebo. Laymens terms mean that any CBN supplement that offers less than 15mg of CBN isn’t any more effective than taking water. Simultaneously, the majority of products including CBN in their ingredients and that market towards a better night sleep include only up to 5mg of this cannabinoid.
A dive into available scientific studies and published medical articles on the topic results in a limited number of studies. Whether looking at pre-clinical or clinical research investigating the effects of CBN one constant remains. When you look into studies that offer less than 15mg doses compared to a placebo there are little or no effects to report.
For this reason, Natural Blum has adjusted all of our CBN offerings to include a minimum dosage of 15mg and combined it with our signature blend of CBD and CBG to ensure the most effective combination of cannabinoids on the market. We then offer them in both tincture and gummy options and in a variety of strengths and flavors and in combination with additional supplements like melatonin to pack the punch you need to sleep more restfully and wake up refreshed.
